Westosha Area consists of many small towns and villages along with over 20 lakes and the Fox River. The area offers many recreation activities for both summer and winter enthusiast. There is an abundance of parks and beaches with free access as well as some county and state parks which charge a small fee or require a state sticker. One of the largest recreation areas in the state, Bong recreation area consisting of over 4500 acres is located in the Westosha area. The area towns and villages offer festival events at different times throughout the year.

The area offers many fine Grade Schools with Wilmot and Central as the 2 primary High Schools. Private schools are also available in the area. The closest technical school is Gateway in Kenosha and Parkside, also in Kenosha, is a part of Wisconsin University system There are many large grocery stores to choose from as well as smaller stores and shops. Major shopping malls are within a 15 -30 minute radius of the area.

Most of the area is serviced by volunteer fire departments and rescue squads. Many of the rescue squads are manned by volunteer paramedics. The four major hospitals for the area are located in Elkhorn, Burlington, Kenosha and McHenry. Police protection is provided by Kenosha County along with individual Police departments in some of the Villages.

The majority of transportation is through the use of your own vehicle. Trains and buses are available in Fox Lake and Kenosha.

Housing of all types and price ranges is available. The area has both permanent homes as well as second homes. Small to medium industry is available in our area with the city of Kenosha offering larger industry. Residents of the Westosha Area find employment both in Wisconsin and Illinois.
